Jackson Eddy, Ponte Vecchio, Firenze.

Jackson currently lives in Scotland, where he works at the University of Edinburgh in the School of Mathematics. In fall 2022 Jackson was awarded an MSc in Mathematical Physics with Distinction at the University of Edinburgh’s prestigious Higgs Centre for Theoretical Physics. Jackson’s dissertation was on the topic of Calculating Cosmological Particle Trajectories in a Gravitational Field, in which he analyzed a perturbative theory known as the Cosmological Trajectories Method (inspired by the Zel’dovich approximation). His academic supervisor on his dissertation was Dr. Andy Taylor.

Jackson was awarded a BSc in Physics with Honors at the University of California Santa Barbara in spring 2021. While at UCSB, Jackson studied electromagnetism and plasma dynamics, and at the University of Edinburgh as an undergraduate in 2019-20, he had the opportunity to take classes in quantum mechanics, Lagrangian dynamics, thermodynamics, and Fourier analysis.

In 2018 Jackson joined the Zeta Epsilon chapter of the Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity, serving as PSP’s VP of Recruitment in 2019 and President in 2020-21. Members of Phi Sigma Pi uphold the ideals of scholarship, leadership, and fellowship. Throughout his undergraduate career, Jackson was a proud recipient of a generous scholarship from the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara.

Jackson has earned numerous musical awards and has performed on several CD’s and numerous iconic stages, such as Whisky a Go Go, Hard Rock Cafe, House of Blues Anaheim, House of Blues Hollywood, Arlington Theatre, SOHO Music Club, Lobero Theatre, and Granada Theatre. A prolific composer and talented performer and emcee, Jackson has been honored to share the stage with a multitude of musical legends, including Jeff Bridges and the Abiders, Jack Johnson, Peter Frampton, Joe Bonamassa, Slightly Stoopid, Iration, Led Zeppelin, and Kenny Loggins.
